Desperation/Delusion??
Desperation/Delusion?? Gasp! Yesterday, here in the mid - north of Ontario, it was actually warm enough for a wee bit of our snow to melt into slush. It's been a very long winter; beaucoup de neige et tres froid. That's the francais in me. I choose to see this mini melt as a positive sign of life after blizzards. Granted, I still must pull on boots before I venture outside, but I was so close to being able to splash in puddles. The sun was shining with actual warmth. I'm still puzzled that the sun can seem so furiously bright in a stunning blue sky yet the air nips at tender body parts. On those frigid days, the unending white is painfully dazzling. Robins and crocuses have yet to brave my neighbourhood. Soon, it will be time to spring ahead and reset my clocks. Springtime always seems so elusive.
