Back to School: A poem

A yellow school bus
drove past my house and brought back
grade school memories.

Going back to school
something to look froward to
and something to dread.

The first day hectic
meeting both new and old friends
receiving homework.

Sunset

sun illuminates
the evening's clouds transforming
them from white to gray

as the sun descends
the clouds darken with the night
another day gone
