Why does Sparky always defrost to the sizzling subject of food?

Because it's just after our evening meal (tea in Australia) that I write this "blog-na" (sandwich).

As writers, authors of a tasty selection of works (burgers) we are all hungry for that best-seller (cellar) pub- (pub) lication.

Yes, we are keen as mustard for a slice of the pie, and quickly become cheesed off, if this bread winning dream isn't cooked up more than piece-meal fashion.

Grammar (pie) is a side serving on everyone's plate alongside punc(h)-tuation and spelling. I shouldn't w(h)ine but I feel a bit crackers over these meaty obstacles that caramelise my liver.

Food for thought; our pe(a)r-severance should bear fruit eventually, if it's not roasted by editors.

This stew we call language is plum saucy if you can stir it properly and not let it stick. No half baked alphabet soup on rice paper will be ever make it to the gravy train of publishing house ovens.

A promise, not a threat;
I promise never to write something like this ever again.
