Enga mellom fjella: where from across the meadow, poems sing from mountains and molehills.

Liberia, the white city.
As I mentioned on facebook:

On Day 65 I caught the bus to Liberia. Only a two hour trip but after walking around the town ...I'm tired. Staying up late last night has nothing to do with that ...of course. *Smile*

In old Liberia it helps if you like white. Houses and churches may very well be adobe, with high ceilings, doors for windows, old tiles on the roof, tiles by the entryway indicating the family. And many are painted white.

That said ... tired. So where to tomorrow? Volcano or beach? In any case I'll be staying the night in Liberia.

Me:

Okay really. It helped that I got through to my aunt; really helped that I had a cheerful chat with Gary.

I can't send Gare *Snow1* ...so I'll send him *Coffee*. *Smirk*

20 more days... I should be fine. Tired... but that's to be expected. Have met my financial goals (currently under budget); have continued to visit new and old places. I have passed through Liberia a few times, but can't remember whether I visited it in '74. This may be the first time.

I'll do something tomorrow... no need to even think much about that before morning.

There have been some personal disappointments ... but that too should be expected. Overall, I'm fine.
