Enga mellom fjella: where from across the meadow, poems sing from mountains and molehills.

Minimalism ...as in minimalist living (with less).
Me:

I have too much. Can't find what I need and have things I rarely use. That said... I'm not ready to be a minimalist.

If I were into minimal living:

1. a bed of my own ...but I've slept on the floor before, so ...mattress.
2. paper. I write ...duh... and a pen or pencil to write with; blood is messy.
3. computer/phone, something to communicate with.
4. a safe dry place to store my writings. Not willing to give them up yet.
5. two of every type of clothes. I have too much now.
6. microwave or toaster oven. I do like some things hot ...but this is dispensable.
7. a place to keep food.
8. a plant, a pet...

Living in homeless shelters I had to mostly do without 1, 4, 6, 7, 8...

In some ways my stay in Costa Rica this past year was closer to minimal as my one-bedroom apartment was furnished and I kept my needs in check.

Even in Montana I like living in a place where everything is included as it cuts down on the bills and the hysteria of paying them. If I had a pay-as-you-go phone (like I do in Costa Rica)...

There is a young couple of friends living in Philipsburg near here who were featured in the newspaper today. They live with nigh on nothing. A much less cluttered life...

Me? I still want a physical closet of memories.

Sensed at Liquid Planet:

Seen: a young women working alone at a table.
Heard: soft music from behind; voices from the other side.
Taste: coffee.
Touch: soreness in my right hand.
Smell: do I have to mention I'm a bit gassy?
Movement: my fingers flashing over the keyboard ...or picking at it.
