Me:

I've been depressed, anxious, ashamed? The return of the SMOKE doesn't help. I needed a lift-me-up. Seeing Sarah back here helps.

Yes. I'm easily cheered by small things. I loved reading Sarah's entries from Greece and Turkey. Even wrote a poem "In Lagada, la vita about one of her blog entries (from 2006).

I'm at the Senior Center and Kathy just came up to give me a hug singing "Sweet nothing..." *Delight*

But, I'm truly in a hole, so I must be careful and climb out of it. Thanks to everyone for the ladders.

Finished Stories for boys by Gregory Martin, one of the presenters at the Montana Festival of the Book last weekend. He writes about receiving a call from his mother that his father tried to commit suicide ...and unfortunately failed. On his bed to reluctant recovery this 66 year old man tells his 35 year old son that 1. he's gay and 2. he was abused by his father between ages 4 and 14. This rocks everyone's world as no one knew... The memoir grows from there. A looking back and a look at the present reality no one foresaw.
