Is it embarrassment or a sunburn?
Friday, June 15, 2012, Day 15 ~ 30-Day Blogging Challenge prompt is "Boy, was my face red when ..."

It’s embarrassing
So why do I always laugh
At least a weak smile

When was the last time my face turned red? Probably the last time I stayed out in the sun too long. I sunburn quite easily, but turning red with embarrassment is a completely different story. I may get embarrassed, but I seldom show it. Sometime a nervous laugh or a weak smile; that’s about it.

Show embarrassment
Do I talk excessively
Make nervous gestures

Boy, was my face red when ... When? Under what conditions? It’s either been a long time or I’m having a senior moment. Maybe is was so minor that I just laughed it off or look furtively for an escape. When I was younger, I obsessed over embarrassing moment. By obsessing, I’m referring to the thoughts that ran through my mind. Thoughts such as “How stupid could I be?” As the years passed, I’ve matured, grown wiser, just don’t give a dam, or am prone to hysterical laughter. Let me see if I can think of one or two incidents.

Boy, was my face red when ... I realized or was told I was tone deaf. I tried out for a choir and the direct want me to try different notes. I thought I was singing them properly, but apparently I didn’t know the difference. It didn’t stop me from singing. I still sing every chance I get. However, I do sound better in the shower.

Boy, was my face red when ... (all right, as I said before my face doesn’t literally turn red when I’m embarrassed) ... when I get my food on my clothes. Let’s face it, when I go out to eat I should take a poncho with me to completely cover my clothes. Another think I should never wear when I go out to eat is white. What I need are clothes made out of material that changes color when I spill my food on them. My clothes should change to the color or colors of whatever food I spill on them.
