The tenth of what? Not February! LOL
I keep some lists as I'm naturally disorganized. Because checking things daily can become an unwelcome obsession I try to check on things on the 10th, 20th and 30th of each month (February included).

Me:

Okay today ...mostly. Saw a special friend last night and that helped. If I can get a tad organized I should be fine as life will return to the doldrums of daily existence. Costa Rica can be very peaceful. So are cemeteries.

Food:

Cooking up some bright red pepper so I can add it to an omelet. Cost me ¢200 each (about 60¢). I'm using up the coffee I bought and opened before my trip. I figure I deserve a new bag, but will not waste. Cheese! Loved the cheese in Norway! Fortunately I really love the Costa Rica white cheese as well. Brought back some lefse from Norway. It's in the fridge. Must eat soon. *evil*

Noise:

Costa Ricans aren't as loud as the stereotypical Puerto Rican. But... the damn church would drive most anyone nuts! The drums are overwhelming.

Norway and Sweden have "Quiet Zones" on their trains. A great idea since some families and young people can be "noisy". However, got called to task by a grumpy old Swede (so like some folks in my family) because I dared ask a fellow traveler a question... The car was peaceful though.

The feria (farmers market) had music and announcements blasting on Thursday. Very obnoxious. If it weren't so loud or constant it wouldn't bother so much but hard to carry on a conversation or conduct business.

News:

A 95 year old Australian backpacker is off to Europe again... Kudos! Guess he started at age 85 after his wife died. At 60 I guess I'm ahead of the game ...or not. Body feels older than my chronological age at times.

Senses:

Sound: LOUD! Drums are driving me nutters.
Smell: pungent sautée of peppers.
Sight: small fruit? flies.
Touch: tongue on sore gums.
Taste: slightly rubbery, slightly salty cheese.

Writing:

Have not caught up yet on journal. Posted a notice on facebook (a daily twitter so people know I'm alive). Another poetic sketch yesterday. Need to make a page of notes as ideas are coming faster than i have the time to write.

Weather:

Sunny but clouding up, humid.

Virtue to be worked on today:

Tolerance. Those drums...
