A do over – How about 2011?
Prompt: Here’s a mistake I would love to have a do-over for: 2011
Day 7: January 7, 2012 ~ 30-day Blog Challenge prompt is “Here’s a mistake I would love to have a do-over for: 2011 the year of the screw-ups.”

A do-over refers to one mistake, which mean I can’t chose the entire year of 2011 to do-over. Besides, I may be over reacting because I probably didn’t screw-up the entire 12 months of 2011. It’s probably impossible to screw-up an entire year. However, at this point I’m not sure.

I had planned to get a blood test this coming Monday, but Monday I have to deal with one of 2011’s screw-ups or we’re going to be about $218.00 short every month for 2012. The truth is I’m not sure how to fix this one because I thought I had taken in all the paperwork required to fix it last week and I didn’t get a call about needing more. January 2, 2012 is the date on the letter; the reinstatement could be in the mail now. Perhaps I shouldn’t jump to any conclusions especially on Saturday, when it’s impossible to do any business.

The problem with a “do-over” (if one was possible) is that it changes history and erases the lessons learned from the mistake or mistakes of the past. A “do-over” doesn’t encourage spiritual growth and there is the possibility by changing one decision it will affect various other things in the network of space, time, and history. No, I really wouldn’t want a “do-over” because the mistakes I made I learned from and the mistakes I’m making today carry lessons and spiritual growth into my life.
