Looking Back on 2010

It was an interesting and stressful year. It was the year I became my mother’s caregiver. It was the year I completed both the NaNoWriMo Prep Challenge and NaNoWriMo, but not the year my hair started to turn gray.

It was the first year; I did not pay an overdraft charge on my checking account. In 2010, I got a new drop coffeemaker. In 2010, I worked for the census bureau. In 2010, I changed the mattress on my mother’s bed. In 2010, I realized that I repeat, “I screwed up again,” too often. In 2010, I finally bought a cell phone.

Twenty Ten was both a good year and a bad year. In 2010, I decided I could not stand the osteoarthritis pain in my right knee, so I started taking over the counter pain medication when the pain got unbearable. In 2010, I discovered Pawn Stars and American Picker on the History Channel and realized that I do like reality shows. In 2010, I got so sick of political ads that I changed channels when one came on T.V.
