Aunt tumbleweed
Weather you be:

Oh where do you go,
Billy boy, Billy boy,
Oh where do you go,
Charming Billy?

Himmicane Bill could be a biggun. But whether he's a fish storm or lands somewhere is a story yet to be told. 'Tis hurricane season if ye hadna noticed!

Time to drag out my old poem: "I, Katrina It has plenty of reviews (90), but could use a few views (550 and counting) on its way to 1,000 if you haven't peeked at it in a bit. *Wink*

Aunt Tumbleweed

         for Little Dot in Fayetteville, North Carolina

Aunt Tumbleweed...
rolled through the city
straight up the highway,
from further down Dixie,
stayed for fifteen long years...
more's the pity.

For Dottie was weary of traveling,
took a rest for old bones,
chose a steamy green spot,
then got stuck all alone.

Still... there's a gleam in her eye.
At eighty-years-young,
she's not ready for rocking;
she's eager for fun;
she'll not go to seed;
she's a spry tumbleweed.

My mother's sister said she was a tumbleweed when speaking to me yesterday... and I wrote that down... and well... the above ditty shows I had to do something with it. (Beware what you say around me!) Aunt Dot grew up in Pennsylvania, went into the Air Force, was stationed in Labrador. After marriage lived in Nebraska and Arizona. She took care of her mother and brother in Florida. Has lived for years Fayetteville, North Carolina... but it still isn't "home".

We always called her Little Dot. There were three Dorothys: Big Dot, Little Dot and Dorothy... Little Dot was named after her older sibling Dorothea who died at age two.

Blogville:

I sent an email last week asking AL if she was okay as she hadn't blogged in a bit. I now know why: "Invalid Entry.

susanL is back to allowing comments on her blog "Invalid Item as folks had difficulty finding her. So... go pay Susan a call.

ME?

I'm bored = I'm boring. Some days are just mundane. Most day are, in truth.

I need to take my advice to lizco252 and go sit in the coffee-shop instead of home while I'm on the computer. I really need to do a bunch of entries in anticipation of Sushi-Season coming up. Once entered they are easier to edit, sort, print out, ask opinions, et cetera.

Writing

Can you write a twitter poem? Consider using text abbreviations:

I need to do at least 20 if I want some for an edition of Sushi.
