C'est la même chose
C'est la même chose
votre cœur ou votre chanson
c'est la même chose
quand la mort les deux décompose
dans la paix de votre maison
et puis sans aucune bonne raison
c'est la même chose

Can't wait till Alfred reads the above. Line 4 seems awkward to me. I wanted to say "when Death decomposes both" or "when after death the two decompose" or something like that! *Laugh* It's a rondelet and I wrote it to put it as a comment in the plog of NOVAcatmando . One of the tricks in writing one is carefully choosing a line that can be repeated three times. As Catherine informs us, the pattern is AbAabbA; A = 4 syllables; a,b = 8.

No big rant on marriage today. This is Boies' op-ed on why equality in marriage must be established. He's in court to overturn state and federal laws. It's well written and a must read for anyone interested in the issue regardless of opinion (know your 'friends'; know your 'enemies') since this will be argued the whole way to the Supreme Court:

Blah-BLAH-blah: Yep. Life is back to nermal here in toasty Montana (near 90). Sundays are s.l.o.w. and I was s l o w e r yesterday. Bit of a headache that went away after a coffee. But... boy was I bored. Wrote four sketches. One in English; one in French and two in Spanish.

Made a call to Carol (of "Lipstick" fame) in Kansas. At least I'm trying to keep in touch. I really need to keep in touch.

Perhaps I should've arranged that trip to South Carolina at the end of the month; but, I'm resigned to being bored a bit in Montana... In between the festivals and other nonsense that is. *Wink*

The highlight of my day was taking a bubblebath (linden) with my shirts and soaking and boiling my underwear. Hope yours was more poetic!
