Enga mellom fjella: where from across the meadow, poems sing from mountains and molehills.

Western Dakota...
We are cruising down I 94 east of Billings through Western Dakota a.k.a. Eastern Montana. It is a landscape of green fields, yellow bluffs, wide waters. Lots of cows, few people.

We are fortunate. The bus broke down in St. Regis (door wouldn‘t close) and arrived an hour late in Missoula. We made up some time coming into Butte but it broke down again west of Columbus (overheating). We made it into Billings just in time for our connections. They hold buses… but not forever.

I’ll be in Fargo come the dawn and then in Minneapolis around 1 in the afternoon.

Internet connection has been iffy. It fades in and out on I 94.

Got some photos earlier that may be salvageable due to the interesting clouds. It’s sunny and mild as we approach sunset.
