Entry from April 21st, 2006: "In a garden of roses, baby

Today I am sad ... the shooting stars are in bloom up on the saddle of Mt. Jumbo, as are the buttercups by the vernal pond and the yellowbells. I even got my first tick. I saw friends, arranged a run to the store tomorrow to buy a netbook for the trip. Found my lavender and moose poop and a 50 cent piece from 1971. I ate potatoes with rosemary crumbs; had a black cherry cream soda at Celtic Connection.

Montana: sunny, flowerful, hit 79 degrees, highest since September 19th.

The celestial harp sees your heart shrink, bereft of warmth, standing before the gates of the city. Your blood smears its strings with each pluck.
