Enga mellom fjella: where from across the meadow, poems sing from mountains and molehills. |
Pebbles dreamed a dream and Susan sang it. If you haven't watched this clip yet, you really should. Almost 3 million hits in three days and it's snowballing. Amazing performance and totally unexpected at the outset (watch it all!). Susan Boyle is from West Lothian in Scotland (sing it Marcus ![]() Article on her: http://talent.itv.com/news/story/item_100065.htm Which made me think of our own susanL ![]() ![]() Oh Will you be taking a vacation, visiting Ohio, Toronto, Orlando, some place ending in Oh. Evaro's close if you're coming this way; so, when will I see you. You know, the stars know our names, but refuse to take messages shorter than centuries. I yearn for their patience. Next time we meet: will you still have your hair, will I be able to hear, deaf, dumb and blind, still know your handshake. Oh, if ever I ever forget your name, the stars over Buffalo won't shine the same. © 2009 Kåre Enga [166.32] 2009-04-10 "I dreamed a dream" is in my head; such a poignant song ... I get weepy at times. How to be weepy and not write a weepy poem is beyond me. So you-all suffer the above. Sometimes ... I wish ... Anyhoo, written for a friend in Buffalo, as if you couldn't guess. It is found in my poetry journal here: "166.32 Oh <G>" ![]() blah-blah-BLAH-blah-blah: Sunday: Trish called and we went for a walk at Blue Mountain. The buttercups and yellowbells are blooming there too; saw kites flying, bluebirds, dogs and horseapples. Trish wants me to walk everyday so I can keep up with her. Right now I barely move (no energy); sauntering is as good as it gets. I wrote a poem about this that needs to be entered on-line and polished. Monday: Walked along the river as I talked with my cousin Betty. Walked down to the waterfall still encased with dirty ice. We had a few flakes while I was talking to Jim from Maine (cooler in the mountain's shadow). On the way back: red shafted flicker, starlings and a robin. Went to class in the evening. We had to make a collage ... and now we are supposed to write a poem using words of only one or two syllables. Thank God for thesauri and the ideanary here. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Montana: ![]() tulip johnny-jump-up forsythia chinodoxia grape hyacinth daffodils hyacinth dandelion bluebird tulip yellowbells primrose pansy buttercup scilla 13,816 |
