Dreaming her way to the Green Bicycle Tea Shop
Have a steady income? Consider yourself blessed. Poverty can be a blessing too. *Delight* No stress in having nothing if you need for nothing. Sure ... I'd like to have a car, a house, friends; but, I have legs to walk, a room I can afford and I'm surrounded by friendly quirks. I fit right in. *Bigsmile* My income may be meager, but I'm truly fortunate, I know it will be there every month. And ... I don't have to worry about "getting somewhere". I'm going nowhere. *Shock* And the bright flashy floodlights of fame? I've got the moon and the stars and the sun above. *Star* ♫ ♫ ♫

Dreaming her way to the Green Bicycle Tea Shop

         for Michele Mulligan

Two wheels churn,
the drip and dribble of a Bangor dawn,
splatter the mud
that heralds the yawning green of gardens.
If it were not for the motion
she'd remain camouflaged,
a green tweed cap cloaked by an emerald cape
cycling through cool mist and fog,
the only sound her spokes turning,
as they whirl along Victoria Lane.
She counts the seconds till her tea will steep,
a warm fragrant steam.
While worlds and wheels turn underneath
above her skies weep her Hibernian dreams.

The Celtic connection and Green Bicycle Tea Shop is on Main east of Higgins here in Missoula. Drop in and say hello to Michele for me! *Wink* Victoria Lane is in Bangor outside of Belfast, Ireland where she lived and dreamed of having a tea shop. blah-blah-BLAH-blah-blah:

Wednesday: A couple drops, but fairly mild. Myrt took me to Stevensville where I found some agates (size of big marbles) as a gift for a friend's son. Also bought a Westmoreland milk-glass vase; my grandfather cut and designed glass there (Grapeville, PA).

Unfortunately ... I thought I lost my phone and camera. But, found them in Myrt's car. This delayed my jaunt to have sushi. When I did finally have some late I ordered oshinko maki as a treat and another piece of unagi. Wrote a poem too!

Chris Dombrowski gave a reading and signing of his book, by cold water, at Fact & Fiction. I like his stuff and he read well. He's reading at Shakespeare & Co. on Saturday. May go if I'm free.

I've seen primroses in bloom in more than one place now ... Spring has sprung. Also tulip, forsythia and pansy.

Thursday: Ran into Yuri at the Art Museum. Which wouldn't be odd, except Yuri was visiting for the day from Lawrence, Kansas! We know each other from Henry's.

I read my poem: "166.19 A snowman cares about our memory of water for the museum receptionist and about 4 others and gave her a copy. Wrote a poem about Marie Watt's heirloom installation.
