Enga mellom fjella: where from across the meadow, poems sing from mountains and molehills.

As you breathe
As you breathe

as you breathe you make a mistake
and heavens weep and you weep too
and your world begins to shake
as neighbors gather stones
and your friends gather stakes
and you feel cold in your bones
when shrouds darken with veils
you know you quake all alone
and those gathered begin to wail
death to who we thought you were
death by ire and pricks and pails

then they kick you like a cur
as broken ruined you crawl away
and the years began to blur
yet even among this rot's decay
glints a token of who you once were.

Blah-blah-blah:

So yesterday afternoon the heavens opened and last night we snoozed under a fresh white blanket. *Snow2*

The writer's group ended up canceling at the last minute. I was already on my way getting lost, so it was a surprise when I showed up; I walk. But Kate and I had a nice chat before heading back. I ran into Hobie and Michelle in the market and picked up cottage cheese and cherries.

Earlier, Aaron at Butterfly Herbs said my dream the other day was of Ashland, Kentucky and that May Day is a good time to visit. I picked up a half pound of Ethiopian Yrgacheffe while I was there.

So, here's hoping your day was more exciting. Mine was definitely underwhelming.
