Another gazelle for Zmitri
Gazelle #4

The lion sleeps at night, Zmitri;
but, gazelles rest, alert enough to flee.

Under dark moons we huddle out of fear
while the herd listens for what we can not hear.

We are two against the world, Zmitri.
And they graze, hundreds, thousands meant to be...

what we are not: survivors eating grass.
Their ears twitch to each groan and sighs that pass

from lips that meet in one last kiss, Zmitri.
Oblivious, gazelles roam far and free.

Once again, rhyming couplets extend the similarities and contrasts between Zmitri and gazelles. Couplet A is mostly Zmitri; couplet B the gazelle(s). This one is roughly in pentameter.

To be useful, this series must have at least 10, maybe 20. This is #4.

Blah blah blah:

Had sushi with Hobie, Chad, Jeremy, Lisa. Different in a group ...

I walked along the river to the Kim Williams path to where a spring creates a mini ice castle. Easier to walk on frozen ground than mud.

I wrote about it in my journal than posted it here: "To the ice castle and back in my Nature your Nature blog.

Today has dawned with sunshine ... again. Awesome. *Smile* Already got to the bakery for fresh bread.

Yesterday, Elisabeth made Berlin meatballs (they are soft and have pickle in them). I eat well (if I choose).

I heard this song at Zootown and it is stuck in my head.

I was going to post this here, better in my other more private blog: "Two deaths in one lifetime are enough.
