Enga mellom fjella: where from across the meadow, poems sing from mountains and molehills.

Grey silhouettes
Grey silhouettes

There was no time to say good-bye,
no time to waste to bury them.
we left them then,
cold, naked in the rain,
knowing only time would cleanse the stench.
We fled.
Wherever we could hide.
No time to share where we were going.
We kept on going.
Then,
when autumn gilded leaves we ran,
when fields sparkled under ice we huddled,
when warm winds churned the mud we walked
Now another year has passed.
We pause.
And for a single stolen moment facing dawn,
remember what was ours.
Then turn.
There is no time for tears.
We keep on going.

I'm reading Dawn by Erin Hunter. The warrior clans of cats are fleeing and many have died, will die. But, I also thought of the wolf-packs of Montana:

Yeah. Last night was a two-scream toss-up. I did manage some sleep and got up reasonably early. I do better sitting up than laying down.

Walked down Higgins to get new bubblebath: patchouli. *Delight*

It was mild today and the sun peaked out for a bit. The two lumpy baked potatoes (Mt. Jumbo and Sentinel) that hover over this town are turning back to brown as snow melts and the river rises breaking up the ice. Chris White mentioned to me today about the magic of reflections in puddles. I was too focused on avoiding getting wet!

MILLSTONES and MILESTONES:

"First drum set finally got 100 reviews *Delight*: Cherokeescribe (99), StirringTime (100), Radler Zpheitor (101). Rixfarmgirl (102). Thanks to anyone who has ever read or commented!
