Enga mellom fjella: where from across the meadow, poems sing from mountains and molehills.

To be passed on

Whose books were these:
a story about a fox and a goat,
soft plastic covered with pictures,
sitting in a box of children's clothes,
with a tome about birthing?
Did the child grow old or grow up?
Are these the scant leavings,
gently folded and placed
in this cardboard container,
carefully set next to the dumpster
like a babe swaddled in blankets,
reluctantly left by the hospital doors.

I found a pillow sham and a white shirt among books and children's clothes by the Salvation Army Dumpster. I was impressed how carefully folded they were as if meant to be passed on. Could use a stronger title, but no ideas are coming to mind at the moment.

eek squeak eek:

I walked to Donna's to get some more bubblebath. The store was closed. So I walked to the Senior Center and decided to eat and do my sudoku. Myrt gave me a ride home (all three blocks) and then called me to make sure I got up the stairs. My back ... isn't better.

But I'm not starving. *Smile*

So nothing to write about. The snow was beautiful but treacherous as it was hiding the ice. Nice big flakes at times. The type often seen in movies *Snow1* but rarely in real life.
