Enga mellom fjella: where from across the meadow, poems sing from mountains and molehills.

To kitchen sink (the verb)
To kitchen-sink (the verb)

Give me the bad news all at once,
even the kitchen sink.
That way I'll never have to face
surprises or wonder what you think.
Add scalding showers with the cold,
the bad news with the worse.
And if tomorrow promises sores,
tell me now, the day before!
This piss and shit cannot reek more
then my nightmares or the stink.
So … give me the sad news all at once,
even the bathroom sink.

A ditty from 2005! I was writing a lot because I had nothing else to do and writing was my sanity. *Bigsmile*. That was the year (161 B.E.) that I wrote over 1,200 snippets.

SUSHI:

I need to focus on Sushi.5 today. Only (R) didn't get any votes while (U) and (F) got the most.

Your boat oared down the river.
I saw you smiling, laughing.
Shore bound,
I could only wave goodbye. [19]

Rain batters the oak.
Broken, it waves in blindness.
All changes save the stone. [20]

You did not invite me in
and I did not beg an entrance.
Outside the gate I watched
the fireflies flicker
and your door close shut. [85]

A few micro-booklets must be done by 5 p.m. local time. Only 3 more to go. ***relief***

Added comment: Sushi.5 came out today: B [6,7] C [8,10] F [19,20] H [28,30] J [32] O [57] Q [67,71] U [85,86] V [93]

It has a red card-stock cover, orange and cream pages. It is kept together by a small white rose
[the type used for crafts and weddings]. I'm actually happy with it.

ME

At least the fire-alarm in my room got fixed yesterday. No being jarred awake at 6 a.m. like the day before. My neighbors will be happy too. *Bigsmile*

I got fed at the Senior Center yesterday without being dragged too much into their controversies and shouting matches. The old farts can be petty, petulant and bear a grudge. Just think what I have to look forward to!

I joined in on the Spanish table at Dauphine's yesterday. They meet twice a week, so I'll be able to keep up on speaking. As for Irish class ... I'll have to wait till next semester. Only me and Ginny showed up again. Last year they didn't have this problem. We talked about Irish for over an hour though and had lots of fun.

Blogville

Seven people from Blogville voted for Sushi.5, so "yay rah Blogtown"! I asked three people in town too.
