GPs for helping with Sushi.3
Well, here it is Monday and I'm not prepared for Sushi.3 yet! Gotta get them ready by Tuesday night before 10 p.m. MDT to print out before 2 a.m. and ready to go by dollar sushi night at Sushihana, Wednesday @ 5 p.m.

After this one, only 5 more to go!

So: here's the rules.

1. Tell me which 6 to 12 you really like.
2. Tell me which 1 to 3 you like the most (and why).
3. If you didn't like one, please tell me. I'd like to know why.
4. I have gps to spend. I'll send 1,000 to 2,500 to those who help.
5. I really need input by midnight Tuesday, WDC time.
6. If you see a major grammar flaw please point it out if it is one of your favs. Otherwise, just ignore.

You can refer to the poems by number (you don't need to paste in the whole poem. I got plenty of copies! Unless you are pointing out a correction of course ...)

#1 Dragons

         for Adina of Hidden Rock

How do the clouds make dragons, mom,
that float up in the sky?
Does someone blow up big balloons,
let go to see them fly?

#2 after Bee-wildered

On my belly in mom's jungle
I'm close enough to see
my cross-eyed kitty staring at
a flower and a bee.

#3 To catch the moon

The ball in the sky floats white at night;
beyond where my dog can fetch it.
The stars in the sky twinkle delight;
they laugh that we cannot catch it.

#4 Weeding

The weeds grow as you sit there mom;
they stretch out to the sun.
I'd help but last time you cried, No!
when I pulled up glads for fun.

#5 Exterminators

The ants in the floor
  are dead now mom.
We hammered each one twice!

The dents in the floor
  won't hurt it mom,
so why the tears in your eyes?

#6 Curls

"I'm glad you're only fifty gramps,"
she shook her curls, demure,
"for if you were a hundred, gramps,
you'd soon be dead for sure."

#7 Cloud castles

In summertime when days are hazy,
I run though the yard to swing and soar,
bury my face in the mystery of worms,
dream of cloud castles afloat from afar.

#8 Moon daisies

In summertime when nights are breezy,
I sleep with angels close by my side,
rock with the blooms of fresh moon daisies,
sing my own lullaby.

#9 Mack Spike's birthday.

The sun is out; I want to play.
Mommy, daddy, it's MY day.
I'm one year older, bolder, hey!
The sun's come out; I must go play.

#10 The Old Man's Birthday

A year's gone by; my hair turns grey,
from running with my son each day.
Would I have it any other way?
Nope. I don't think so. Nay.

#11 Off to school

The summer's ended, off to school
to learn my numbers, read; that's cool!
I wonder when I get there, who'll
play with me each day at school.

#12 Hallmark move over

Green eyes, brown eyes, black eyes, blue.
Two eyes looking up at you,
saying: Dad, I'm just like you.
You have two eyes too!

#13 Questions for Daisy

In autumn,
the golden leavings of shadbark
and one bright sun,
her pristine skirt arranged to pluck:
do you love me,
do you not.

#14 Chautauqua Summer, '63

ripple ripple ripple
one stone dropped into a lake
one frog plopped into a pond
echo echo echo.

#15 April's band

Fifteen heads anodding
to their golden trumpet's call.
Hear the parade of daffodils
in Spring-time's thrall.

#16 Sparrows

If there's a bird a-watching,
he flies away from me;
until I cast the seed down
and then he eats for free.

It takes but just a moment
and then there's two, then three;
for where there's two a-gathered,
there you will find me.

#17 Bug! see?

for Judy of the light brown bunny ears

She really wants to hug me,
tugs my leg to hug me.
The little mobster mobs me,
slugs me, plugs me, mugs me.
She brings me little presents:
bug! see? bug! see? bug! see?
She is my joy that jiggles,
my baby bunny Bugzy.

#18 Pampered

         for Bugzy

Happy feet, happy feet,
washed and rubbed they do not stink.
Happy feet, happy feet,
toenails painted pink!

#19 We three

You say we're wasting water.
We strongly disagree.
Soaking in the bathtub,
one sheet, one shirt, one me.

#20 Kilmer's Kat

I think that I shall never hear
a sound as soothing as a purr,
and whether comes snow, rain or fog,
a cat annoying as a dog.

#21 What does ____ mean, Daddy?

"Truck-truck", points our baby Billy;
"chuck-chuck", chirps the bird.
But what Harry said to Sally, Daddy,
I've never seen nor heard.

#22 Four finches in the willow

Here they come, a chorus,
streaks of gold, black winged;
singing as they fly-by,
dipping through the green.

#23 Run, go get the tweezers

Some kids love the summer
but I prefer the winter
as sliding down a tree I scream,
"Ice does not have splinters!"

#24 Old Aunt Alice in Not-so-Wonderland

Bat, bat, where you at?
These bugs be eatin' me.
Cat, cat where you go?
Those mice be runnin' free.

#25 Bug hug lesson #1

Out in the grass,
I found a bug.
I gave it a hug.
it gave me a rash.

#26 See, Daddy, I can fly!

I followed the bird
up high in the tree.
Down flew the bird.
Down fell me.

#27 Sssss

The hiss in the grass
said, "Take me home."
But my mother shrieked
when I let it roam.

#28 Lament of the first born

Bug, bug, bug.
My brother always bugs me.
Squish, squish, squish.
My mother will not let me.

#29 At the beach

At the beach where mom will teach me
how and where and when to swim,
I might be scared, but once I'm out there,
I'll never come back in.

#30 Crowfeet

When winter blows in snowdrifts,
blinds me with the snow,
two eyebrows squinch up crowfeet
black on white cold crows.
