Summer ended
ME:

Not functioning yet. The day looms grey and chill. I'm sure there are things to do. I've plenty of time to kill.

I'll have to post later when I'm more energetic.

Like tell y'all about the 100 panels of the Names Project (AIDS quilt). Quite moving.

FOOTBALL:

Got to the parade yesterday. Ate a slice of sour-cream apple pie and took a nap. Overslept. The ballgame was 13-0 by the time I got there.

Montana Grizzlies are having problems with their kicking game. PATs and field goals are not a given. They are also young overall. This could be an off year. Up 23-10 at the half, I felt that they needed to score 30+ points to win and I was almost right. Still, they managed to stop U.C. Davis when needed. The final: 29-24. So the team is now 3-0. But ... their schedule is weak and Sacramento State stumbled. But ... Eastern Washington waits. At least that game is at home. As is the big bruise with Montana State in November.

It was a tad warm for the game until the clouds moved in. Then it was pleasant. But yesterday was the last day of Summer. This coming week is definitely Autumn.
