I have a dream
We all have dreams...

I dreamt as a child about baseball teams (how the Orioles would win the World Series, then they did) and how an orange and black bird would build its nest in our elm tree (it died when I was15). I built a 'town' under the swingset and thought of building highways and drew designs of cars (I didn't drive until I was 23).

I made gardens instead and later designed them, dreaming how they would look as they matured. I dreamt of a community center for teenagers, later a center for my religious community, then a center for art. I've always dreamt of villages (full of gardens).

Now I dream of poetry workshops and readings and making books.

And I dream of seeing my dearest friend again.

Not all dreams come true.

But what are we without dreams? 45 years ago today, Martin Luther King had a dream he shared with America about the coming together of various people to live in harmony.

Interesting to note that the first African-American will be chosen to run for president on this 45th anniversary of one of the greatest speeches of all time. Some dreams just take time.

So I ask:

1. What were your dreams as a child of ~10 (no matter how silly or profound!)
2. What were your dreams when you grew up? Say ~25. *Delight*
3. What are your dreams now for yourself?
4. What are your dreams for future generations of your family?
5. What are your dreams for all of humanity?

Martin Luther King shared a dream. Please feel free to share yours. *Bigsmile*
