Exterminators

The ants in the floor
  are dead now mom.
We hammered each one twice!

The dents in the floor
  won't hurt it mom,
so why the tears in your eyes?

Curls

"I'm glad you're only fifty gramps,"
she shook her curls, demure,
"for if you were a hundred, gramps,
you'd soon be dead for sure."

with many thanks to chicochica and Kim Ashby for the prompts!

ME:

Bah humbug ... I'm feeling fine and accomplishing nothing! This peaceful moment too shall pass.

I wrote some silly poems, wrote another flash romance, this one for my neighbors Markie and Jessica. I took notes for another 'nature' moment. I have too much to write and too little time to devote to it unless I neglect other things.

Kansas: 77º at 21:00 and dry; threatening storms out west.
