Enga mellom fjella: where from across the meadow, poems sing from mountains and molehills.

Letting your heart sing.
Let your heart sing!

How far are you willing to go to achieve your dream? What is the price of being who you are?

I went to YouTube to find links to some of my fav music like "Ombra mai fu" and have an item (on private at the moment) where I am keeping track of them.

I came across this when I was looking for "Nessun dorma" from Turandot:

I too was stunned by this performance at an audition for BGT (Britain's Got Talent). Now being in the U.S. and not having television last June, I didn't know about this.

By time for the Semi-finals, this mobile phone salesman had gained some confidence (and a better suit) and sang "Time to say goodbye':

At the finals he sang "Nessun dorma" again (but this is the full, unclipped version)

Since last June, he has toured the world, made a c.d. and performed "Nella fantasia" for royalty, finishing, of course, with "Nessun dorma" (a piece he 'owns').

... nice suit, chorus and live orchestral accompaniment. He looks absolutely professional, as if he'd been doing this for a living for years. He quit his day job.

What a year it has been for Paul Potts! Over 2 million copies of his c.d., at the very top of the charts in Europe (for opera? *Delight*!). It can even be found at the public library here in Kansas. Notice that the above clips have more than 45 million views! And there are more clips ...

Next June, how will this year have been? Will you hold onto dreams as well as a 37 year old salesman. What will make your heart sing?

ME:

Have been staying up too late, sleeping in too late. A little less stressed, a little more frustrated. Friend has contacted me about a two bedroom duplex for $300 in Emporia. I can't find anything that cheap here or in Missoula.

Still going to visit Montana (and may still move there), but the dates are a tad more fluid.

WRITING:

Well, I started two new blogs. One will be titled "Watt's Gnus" and will allow me to comment about the world around me, anything that amuses me ... like Paul Potts above. The second will be called "Nurture your Nature". I collected leaves yesterday so I can make my first entry soon. I may do a third for my societal rants, continuing with "Hoarfrosts" for my personal tears, anguish and angst. I want to try a newspaper concept ... some read the Sports section, some hoard the Funnies. *Wink*

It is grey and cool here. Not normal for June. We just had a rain shower.

Kansas: Breezy and a cool damp 67º at 14:00. ** Image ID #1295354 Unavailable ** .
