Angel Face

Touch me,
my name is Michael.
Caress me and I turn to blush.
My raiments ruffle at your slightest breeze.
In spring,
among new growth etched red,
come see me huddled in my copper buds:
through summer sunsets,
sniff my citrus fragrance clustered lavender and mauve;
by fall I flame before the frost.
I am
the Face of God,
the ever-blooming presence in your Garden's Heart.
Through winter's never-ending hoary blast,
inhale my potpourri of memories.
Come seek me out.

ME:

Saturday: Saw a couple books on the paintings of Georgia O'Keeffe. So I bought them. $20. (one was used). I'll need to remind myself to go to the library if I want more! So ... the O'Keeffe poems will begin anew.

The television has been on non-stop. It is Charles Bronson against the World. No, I haven't had a chance to relax in front of the television; that would mean someone else would have to move out of the seat.

Sunday: Went back and looked at books on roses for my 'Roses for Ranita' series, like the one above. Even found one called "Sheila's Perfume". Introduced in 1982, it has yellow to deep pink petals; it is a tea rose with bright green leaves. Wonder if Nada knows about it?

Now who wouldn't want to write a poem about that loverly mug!

WRITING:

I finally got to sketch #80, but I'm supposed to be around 96 to date. Not time to panic, but I do need to be writing more. Wrote a couple more 'Zmitri' poems.
