Before the B-ball storm breaks ...

Could rain tonight which will not dampen the spirits if KU wins. The drunks will just be wetter than normal! Might even wash the piss off of them.

53º here and rain wrapped around us. No severe weather like in Wichita Falls, TX (tornado) and no warnings like in half of Oklahoma. 80º in Memphis. 96º in San Antón. Hope the a/c is working!

The town is already expectant and the crowds are mounting. Folks camped out to get into their favorite bars this morning. Belly-up-to-the-bar is a college sport. No indication that the local city or police officials will ban driving on Mass. St. Pray nothing happens. Prevention isn't considered proper in Kansas and driving drunk and acting like an asshole is a right that no one dare question.

BTW ... the drunk KU student who killed someone last year was sentenced to 90 days in jail last month (He hasn't served a day yet.). He didn't get even the maximum 2 years for manslaughter. Life is cheap in Kansas.

So ... other than the homeless (who by definition have nowhere else to go ...) why do folks come to the library and cough, sneeze and breathe on others for hours in a closed environment?

Of course that's like asking why 18 year olds will get drunk and act stupid tonight.

1. Because they can.
2. Because nobody else matters worth shit.
