If there's a bird a-watching,
he flies away from me;
until I cast the seed down
and then he eats for free.

It takes but just a moment
and then there's two, then three;
for where there's two a-gathered,
there you will find me.

POETRY:

Reading a lot of poetry this past week. Working through a textbook. Read dear Emily and Langston within the last day. When I read, I write.

SUBMISSIONS:

Well, I got my first rejection notice, but it was accompanied with a back issue of the mag (which helps ... alot). That put a smile on my face. I'll just submit again. Maybe a different style or theme. *Smile*

SUPERBOWL PREDICTION:

1. I really don't care.
2. Lets try Patriots 38; Giants 17.

NEWS/ON-LINE:

After reading this assessment of Heath Ledger by Jack Nicholson, I'm saddened by what it takes to be a 'star'. I think I would've liked Heath.

http://city-data.com has the top 100 cities for this, that and just about everything else. Found out my mother lives in the city with the fewest cloudless days; although, it didn't make top 100 in cloudiness. Missoula, Montana ranks high on the no-sun/all-sun disparity. January = no sun; July = no clouds. Both places rank top 100 coldest average temp. Missoula also is #13 in bicycle use for work! It's like Boulder, Colorado in that way.

It's a great site to check out all types of demographics. Found a town (was it in Utah or Kansas?) that was 100% white, no poverty; everyone is married. I cannot imagine what they would think if I showed up! They probably have laws against me! *Laugh*

Where I grew up is one the places where people from the outside don't move-in. That is curious too.

I dream of a multi-cultural city with reasonable housing and a mix of opportunities. New York, New York would be great if it wasn't impossible to rent there. Missoula would be fairly good if it didn't have mountains blocking the sunshine. Kansas? Don't ask. Still dreaming of four months Montana / four months Oklahoma / four months on the road or elsewhere. *Smile*

Oddly, an area that showed up that was interesting was the north side of Atlanta. I've never considered moving to Georgia; well, maybe Savannah ...

It's my decision to make. I'm undecided.

ME:

I'm feeling much better. But trying to watch what I eat. I don't need to upset my 'delicate' system.

Birds outside are doing fine; the one squirrel looks fat. No signs of spring (which is good; it's too early.). Plants inside are still alive; pepper trying to bloom.

Kansas: 41º and thin clouds.
