Enga mellom fjella: where from across the meadow, poems sing from mountains and molehills.

Cubicles
arranged in cubes
rise like brick shelves,
a storage bin of librarians
buried by books.

Quiet time
is all the time,
yet never generous. Reports
are due and exams await each tock
of the academic clock.

Here information-studies students
inform themselves.
Quietly in cubes,
they study.

Wayne Hall was a cube of a resident hall reserved for the serious Library School students at Geneseo State.

A photo I found on-line (a Japanese student at Geneseo, 留学日記@Geneseo. Guess he went to Evergreen State and studies business):

NEWS:

Does this mean I should itch or shouldn't? I know some friends who cut themselves to assuage the emotional pain. And focusing on one type of pain does help one cope with others. But is that what this article is saying? I'll have to reread it.

ME:

Still ill.

My effluent is not flowing the proper color. (And the polluted Kaw River oughtta be blue?)

Basically, I'm weak. It would be nice to go do things, but that means taking a bus and planning. It's not overly cold and it is beautifully sunny; but, I just don't have the oomph to leave the environs of my cave to venture out. No long walks for me until I'm better.

And nowhere far from proper facilities either.

POLLS:

Well, it appears that the mutts have it! And cat lovers apparently love the one they're with. See my previous entry for the two polls I made: "Reigning cats and DOGS!

Kansas: 32º and bright sunshine.
