the value of people

Do you feel that people have value? Individuals, groups, or both?

Part of my self-centeredness creates a mindset that states in actions that I do not value others. EI: setting up dinner with a friend, but canceling at the last second, because I used my time poorly.

It feels as though today is an anniversary for me of some sort, but if it is, I can't remember what for. We'll just say that I'm sentimental and leave it at that.
