My Upcoming Birthdays
18 Kamal 163 B.E. - August 18, 2006 A.D.

I have three birthdays coming up within the next few months. October 31, when I joined writing.com, November 23, when I officially declared my belief in Baha'u'llah, and December 24, the day I was born. I refer to October 31 and November 23 as my birthdays, because each marked new phases in my life. Each was a turning point that took me onto a new path in my journey.

The choices I made on November 23 and on October 31 changed my future. Because of those decisions I am not the same person I was before I made them. That's what decisions do, they change the person who makes them. Not that my decisions didn't effect other people in my life, the did have an affect on my family and my friends. However, the decisions I made had the most effect on me and they are still effecting me. The choices I make today are slightly different than if I had not become a Baha'i or joined writing.com.

In most cases a person doesn't know when he or she made a decision that would dramatically change their future and there for can't celebrate the "new birth" which occurs after words. In these two cases I'm fortunate because, in two, cases I know the decisions that changed my life and I can celebrate the days of my "new births".
