*Prompt* One or the other
8 Nur 163 B.E. – June 11 – 12, 2006 A.D.

When I write about the death topic I usually end up writing about someone who died. I haven’t known any one who died of an overdose of anything, I haven’t known anyone who died violently and I haven’t known anyone who committed suicide. I have known people who died, but most of those died of natural causes or old age.

Death is an intriguing subject. Many people won’t talk about it at all, while others can’t talk about anything else. Fortunately, I haven’t encountered any one in this contest in either of those extremes. Although, I haven’t completely read all the blogs in their entirety, I’ll eventually read them all. I’m not afraid to discuss or write about death, I can’t be afraid to write about it, because I have too many unconfronted issues in which death figures prominently.

One of those issues has to do with my father, I didn’t find out about my father’s death until I looked his name up on the internet and found his Obituary. My parents were divorced when I was a child and my father didn’t see us much, not sure why. If I did have a chance to see him I would ask the why question. When my parents were divorced I was old enough to remember my father, I missed him. I never understood why he didn’t try to see me … to see us his children.

Again, I’m responding to a prompt with an unconfronted issue. I haven’t went back to reread all my response entries, but I know some of them have to do with unconfronted issues. So here I am writing a blog entry, that will be read by hundreds, maybe thousands of people (OK, I’m probably over stating here) about an unconfronted personal issues. I wonder what that says about me, that some of my unconfronted issues are fairly mundane, common and boring or does it say that I’m selfish and self-centered.

I’m going to end and post this now, I’ve got a chat coming up for my EDU622 class at 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time.
