Sad News for Detroit

I caught a clip of the news last night, which I watched in complete disbelief. I had to watch the news again this morning in hopes that I was too tired last night and misunderstood what I was watching. Unfortunately not.

It appears that we do not have enough funding and are being forced to close our zoo. This makes me very sad. I love going to the zoo and I love the idea of all the children going to the zoo. Going to the zoo is a part of growing up!

I know that Detroit is known for all the car companies and there have been many closing over the years, which has been causing our unemployment rate to rise; however, that does not upset me nearly as much as the zoo closing. I know, I know...that is really bad, but it is true.

Heck, the zoo was my storage place for my pet pig...I got to visit him at least once a year!
