Walking Down Memory Lane
I've been walking down memory lane lately. This come as a results of taking a free writing class offered by a yahoo group. One of the assignments was to write about my grandparents. The memory that came to me was my grandparents trailer-house (mobile home) at a recreational area near Blackwell, Oklahoma. We went to the lake on week ends, holidays and summer vacations.

The recreational area did not have sewer hook-up so the toilet in the mobile home did not work. For a toilet we had an out house which my grandfather dug and built himself. Using an out house is an interesting experience. It created my definition of roughing it. For me roughing it is not having an in-door toilet. It is interesting how childhood experiences can create personal definitions. Until I wrote a paragraph about that experience I din't think too much of how many of my personal definitions were the results of childhood experiences.
