It's sunday again. Lazy sunday............ I don't wanna write my essays, the last time I looked at them they made me remeber that guy killing himself.
Yesterday my dad and I drove to Santa Fe, long drive, almost 6 hours. My grandpa has decided to sell his house (he is never there anymore...)so he wanted us to go and get some stuff that we wanted. My grandpa is an art dealer so he has lots of intresting stuff. I got a bunch of really cool stuff, some old buttons, 2 gucci walets, and a bunch of brand new hair stuff that my aunt eve left. My aunt, well there's an intresting story, she used to be an alcholic druggie, when i was still a baby my parents brought me to visit my grandma in col. At the time she was visiting too. I guess there was a fight between my dad and aunt about how loud the music was beacause it was so late; 11 pm and i was crying. Apperently my dad then tossed her stero out a window. I don't think they have talked much since then. They seem to hate each other. No one on that side of my family like her very much, i guess she has a really bad temper and according to my cousin sandra "she's a spoiled brat" back to the present. she lived in my grandpa's santa fe house for a while with my dad's brother and left a while ago, she left alot of her stuff there, unopened bottles of chennel, and other stuff like that. A bunch of really nice formal dresses, and 3 aswome leather jackets. One i really liked, a tan seude jaket that fit me perfectly. I asked my grandma if she thought i would get away with taking it and everyone said yes she wouldn't notice. And kind of as an after thought I took her stero as well. hahahha, well this morning I came downstairs and my dad was on the phone with her and she was bitching about her stero. so we are going to send it to her. And hopefully she'll forget about the jacket. I really like it.
My dad's family is really different from our own family unit. His family is just very distant and complicated. Nothing is simple. There are old wounds that will probably never be healed.
I read "sisterhood of the traveling pants" this week and i wasn't very impressed. It was ok, but not as good as everyone had led me to believe. I also just read "Memoirs of a Geshia" by Arthur Golden, it was a great book. I highly recomend it. later.......
