Jealousy
A girl friend and I were talking this evening about Jealousy. Jealousy is a very tricky thing. If you are jealous one would think that
it meant that you were coveting something, or someone, or even something that
someone has. It is perfectly natural to always want better, or something
different. But when does that go too far? For example, for as long as I can
remember, I have been Jealous of my sister. Her academic ability always
came to her so easily, where as I had to study for long periods of time to
even get a passing grade. She was always given common priviledges first. (ie- slumber
parties, formal dances, etc). Some of that was because she was a year older too.
Which brought me to the point of being Jealous of she getting her permit
first, and graduating first. That is natural. Now, I am at a point in my life
where I am jealous of something that I have never been jealous of before.
Let me explain- the only other thing in my life that I have ever wanted
that someone else had, I mean- truly wanted...was a baby. And with time,
that will come. But now, I am jealous, because lots of people have something
that I don't have. The priviledge of the company of someone I seriously need
right now. No- I am not telling you who, nor is it who most of you who
know me personally are thinking. My question is this- Do they know what
they have? I mean, truly know? I would give a great deal to be near this
person, especially yesterday and today. But, they are there all the time. And I hope
they all know what they have. Hmm- just a thought.
