One Vs The other
Okay, just a question for some of you.....

What do the following words mean to you? What is the difference between them?

Sacrifice
Compromise
Inconvenience

--------------------------------------------------
sac·ri·fice
1) The act of offering something to a deity in propitiation or homage, especially the ritual slaughter of an animal or a person.

A victim offered in this way.

2) Forfeiture of something highly valued for the sake of one considered to have a greater value or claim.

Something so forfeited.

3) Relinquishment of something at less than its presumed value.
Something so relinquished.

A loss so sustained.

--------------------------------------------------
com·pro·mise
1)
A)A settlement of differences in which each side makes concessions.
B)The result of such a settlement.

2) Something that combines qualities or elements of different things: The incongruous design is a compromise between high tech and early American.

3)A concession to something detrimental or pejorative: a compromise of morality.

--------------------------------------------------
in·con·ven·ience
1) The state or quality of being inconvenient.
2) Something inconvenient.

in·con·ven·ienced, in·con·ven·ienc·ing, in·con·ven·ienc·es
To cause inconvenience to; trouble: The snow inconvenienced the holiday travelers.
--------------------------------------------------

These are all definitions taken out of an online dictionary (www.dictionary.com).

This is only my opinion, but this is what i feel they are all about:

*Sacrifice*
I feel that this means that something is given, in one way or another, at one things ( a being) expense. Like an offering of some sort.

*Compromise*
I feel that this is a happy medium, so to speak, of 2 extremes. That all parties involved are "giving in" a bit.

*Inconvenience*
I feel that this is what happens when one party is made to suffer on behalf of another. To either give up space, personal belonging, etc.

Okay- so why this type of post? I dunno- just needed to clarify this. Let me know if you disagree.
