My Soul to Keep
I lay me down now to sleep,
And in my maker's form to keep
A touch of evil, angst, and tears--
Full of demon's startling fears.

My soul it travels in the night--
And stays awake in midst of fright--
Recruiting others to be bound
By the hounds of hell's own sound.

A lantern made of dim debris,
A touch of hellfire soon to be,
The only sensation I can feel
As hollow's eve becomes real.

To my grave I will return--
With the sun in daylight burn--
To once again haunt the earth
And in nightmares sometimes surf.
