Understanding
Understanding

Understanding knows of what you speak
lives in the places that we seek
thrives on learning all that’s real
pays the bill while others steal

Stoops to take the path most humble
treads with grace and doesn’t stumble
smiles so sadly at man’s errors
blunts the teeth of the worst of terrors.
