Serene in the evening sun
surrounded by stone
soaked
half submerged
in shallow water
swiftly flowing

Perplexed by this pointless pose
uncomfortable...
painful even
and cold
perfect make up
provocatively dressed

someone's idea of beauty
perhaps
but certainly not mine
too contrived
unconvincing, unsatisfying
and ultimately annoying
