Alfred Hitchcock's Games Killers Play
There were so many possibilities for the April category, I got a little bit stuck choosing one.

This one is an old anthology from the great filmmaker, Alfred Hitchcock. The stories are entertaining enough, but the real reason for reading this is Hitchcock's witty introduction (even if it is a little dated). In that introduction Hitchcock laments the fact that so few of his movies win Academy awards and he suggests how certain classic films could have been made better if they had been thrillers.

Now the books shows its age when the films he discusses here are Gone with the Wind, Gigi, and West Side Story but movie fans should still enjoy it.

As for the stories themselves, mystery fans should have fun. They range from imitative--a story about a very Sherlock Holmes like detective unravelling a murder, darkly comedic--a story about a husband and wife simultaneously plotting to murder each other, to disturbing--a story about a cope who has to gun down a teenage criminal.

This is definitely worth a read.
