week three lonely light horse misses humanity

Lonely Lighthouse at the End of the World

A lonely lighthouse
Stood by the side
Of the Ocean
In the State of Maine.

It was the last lighthouse
To have human attendants
But even here
In the howling wilderness,

The last human lighthouse worker
Came down with COVID 25.

COVID 25 had swept the world
Ushering in the long feared
Zombie apocalypse.

Those affected if they lived
Were afflicted with rabies
Became bloodthirsty, crazed
Violent Zombies.
But 95 percent of the infected
Died within days.

The lighthouse sighed
He missed the antics
Of the deranged human creatures
Who were always getting into trouble
Bless their little hearts.
