365 Days of Blessing _ April 11, 2023

Dear God,

There are no departments in heaven, at least so it seems to me at this moment. I am ready for correction at any time. But it is You alone, O God, who is over it all. Everything that is for mankind You are the One who gives the fruit of a worker's labor and gives the terrain in which the fruit is to come forth.

Even the plans for the making of bread and wine are all in Your imagination passed into the understanding of man, who then can exist in comfort; that is, if You favor him to do so.

A gladdened heart is not always within the scope of man’s thinking, but if satisfaction is attained by the giving away of all that You own, shouldn’t one's heart be glad that there was enough to help those who have not enough. You indeed do work wonders and then bring forth the harvest. Man’s part is to set our minds to praising You for the good You are always bringing in to our hearth and home.

Psalm 104:13-15

From Your lofty abode You water the mountains; the earth is satisfied with the fruit of Your work.

You cause the grass to grow for the livestock and plants for man to cultivate, that he may bring forth food from the earth

and wine to gladden the heart of man, oil to make his face shine and bread to strengthen man’s heart.

I exalt You, Dear God, my source of every good and wonderful thing. Life is a gift. Breath is a gift. The joys all around me are a wonderful gift and I delight in You every day. Blessed be the name of the Lord!!
