Halloween may be a-comin’
and now’s the time for being batty,
flying foxes nightly summoned,
leaving thee and me quite scatty.

Vampire legends fill the dark,
Jack o’ lanterns, sooty cats,
scary ghouls, maybe a snark,
wingèd rats, not baseball bats!
