PROMPT September 12th
What part of your life has been disrupted the most by the stay at home orders? What have you done to adapt to spending more time at home?

The stay at home order has not really disrupted my life. I am not really a social person, so distancing and the stay at home order practically didn't affect me at all. Covid-19 did though. I was a teacher. Loved teaching. But I also have some disabilities. Amongst them are some which affect my immune system. Because of these immune problems and the constant threat of the virus, I no longer am able to teach. As the potential of me getting sick would not just affect me, it would also put a strain on the school for which I worked, since they would have to hire someone to substitute my classes until I got better. The school decided they'd cut their losses before they happened - so they cut me from the payroll. But, it turns out that was probably a good thing. I have had so many doctor appointments since this pandemic began that I would have had to take off too often had I been working. Blessings come in all disguises.

Since I have been home so much and have all this free time on my hands, I have been able to write more. I write a lot. And I have had time to look inside myself to find what is really important. Time to reflect and come to terms with my health, and to learned to appreciate my relationships and my life that much more. And I have had more time for my animals and plants. My quiet, happy existence.
