Not Quite as Bad as Wednesday
Not Quite as Bad as Wednesday

It was very, very bad at work yesterday. True, it wasn’t extremely bad like it was on the last two Wednesdays. But it was a close second. Especially, the first half of it. The first couple of hours were about the same as Wednesday. But the next two hours weren’t. In fact, they were almost the opposite of Wednesday this week. Probably last Wednesday too. But I can’t remember if it was or not.

Those two hours were extremely busy. I was on my feet almost constantly. It was like that for the first two hours. But during the next two hours, it was even worse. That’s how busy that it was yesterday at work. During those four hours, I was on my feet about ninety-five percent of the time. Just like it was on Wednesday. Only it wasn’t quite the same, though.

True, I was on my feet too much. But it wasn’t because I how busy that it was, though. What do I mean by that? It means that it was busy most of the time. But it was a steady busy instead of a constantly busy first four hours. I know that doesn’t make any sense. It doesn’t to me either. And I’m the one writing it. The one who is trying to explain it.

Usually, it gets busy at this post in groups. Unfortunately, those groups happen at the same time on both sides of my post. And that did happen yesterday. But not as much. It was more steady than all at once in groups. I would sit down. And another group would show up. Especially, on one side of my post.

Most of the time, when that one side was steady busy the other side would start getting busy. The only difference is that it was usually single busy instead of group busy. No matter how I look at it, I was on my feet way too much. As a result, I didn’t get to sit down very often yesterday at work. Especially, during the first four hours.

The second half of my shift wasn’t that much better. It was still steady most of the time. True, I did get to sit down a little bit more during that time. But I was usually working on paperwork when I did it. I didn’t have any time to relax. Let alone, the time to work on my Water Wars scriptwriting project. as a result, I didn’t get any writing done at work yesterday on this project.

I’m not too surprised about that. I didn’t expect to get any writing done. Of course, I was hoping that I would be able to get at least a few single paragraphs written for the first episode of this project done. But I knew I wouldn’t be able to do it. I doubt that I will be able to get anything written today either. Especially, if it’s as busy today as it was last Friday.
