Three Years of Straight Writing
Days before were hit and miss
when writing for the winner's kiss.
There's still a ways to reach the best,
but writing keeps me truly blessed.

From day to day I grind it out.
I search for what it's all about.
To write the thoughts from my own heart
is where I will so often start.

My friendships on this writer's site
both sharpen and give me new light.
They grind enough until I'm blue
to better make me when they're through.

But often they encourage me
to be my best and new ways see.
With tender scalpel, fat is cut
to lift me out of writing's rut.

Three years have come and now are gone.
Great lessons have been wondrous drawn.
While Writing.Com exists to bless
my writing will surmount each test.
