The Trinity
Yesterday's memories
Fall into the wind,
While tomorrow's fantasies
Cannot be heard.
Instead, today's pages
Remain unwritten-- except
In the moment-- as each hour
Is etched into a new beginning
That will fall to the reaches
Of yesterday's ghosts
And short of tomorrow's promises.

Each piece written bringing
Hope and solace:
For forgiveness lingers on
Today's tongue, a sweet reminder
To yesterday's struggles
And forbearance to tomorrow's
Bittersweet embrace in your arms,
Bringing together a trinity
For the muses to trap in
Life's tapestry,
So that my form is complete.
