It was another beautiful day in the city of Tokyo, and in the Mouri detective agency things were, well, like usual I guess: Kogoro was hearing the results of a horse race, hoping to gathered some extra cash, other than the one earned in his last case solved.
Well, to tell the truth, this case was once again solved by a certain high school detective, whose body has been recently shrunken down because of a poison he was forced to drink by a member of a secret black organisation.
So once again Conan Edogawa/Shinichi Kudo has saved the day. Was it all? Of course not, a certain girl was in that house too, a beautiful high school student, karate champion and excellent housekeeper: Ran Mouri.
Well actually at the moment she wasn't in her house, she was walking around the streets of Tokyo, for the first time ever without her best friend Sonoko Suzuki, still wandering about the case of last night, in which she and her family was involved, because once again they coincidentially happened to be in the same place and at the same time that the murder accoured.
But enough chit chat, while walking Ran was still thinking about the method used by the culpit, that made it seem like some kind of magic was used, but once again that possibility was destroyed by the work of the duo Conan/Kogoro ( well, we all know it was actually a one kid job) and Ran was once again speechless, but this time, in a different way, kind of sad, maybe because of the last words Conan said to her after the case was solved
Flashback
The murderer has been taken away by the police, Ran looked at him and said
"What a shame, I really thought a magical trick was used" but next to her
"Ran, there is no such thing like magic in this world" Conan said
Flashback end
"Okay, it wasn't a magic trick, I admitted, but come on Conan, don't be like that" Ran said quietly by herself "You are becoming like Shinichi. Wasn't shakespeare who wrote There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamed of in your philosophy. Come on magic must exist"
"Magic does exist" a mysterious voice said, and after hearing that Ran looked around herself in search for someone
"Who said that? Where are you?" Ran asked
"Go down the alley on your right, then go left" the voice said
Ran looked on her left and there really was an alley. She gulped down and then said
"All right" and so she started walking. Once at the of the alley, she turned left and saw
